Introducing
Marie Laurent
Marie Laurent graduated from the University College London in 2005 with an honours degree in Podiatry. She then worked for 18 years within the NHS, five years were in London and the remainder in Dorset. Since 2007 Marie has specialised in the management of the high-risk foot, and became a specialist in diabetes foot management in 2010.
Marie left the NHS in 2022, when she took a temporary role with the professional body for podiatrists (Royal College of Podiatry).
Marie has worked alongside Alex since April 2022, and she continues to enjoy treating a wide range of podiatry conditions. For example, simple nail care, routine treatment, treating verruca conservatively or by using SWIFT therapy. Marie also manages those with ingrown toenail or dermatological conditions. Marie continues to have a passion for treating the high risk for those with vascular conditions, rheumatoid arthritis or diabetes.
Marie maintains an up to date continued professional development portfolio to meet the standards set by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and is a member of the Royal College of Podiatry. Marie enjoys online learning, focusing on current research and evidence-based podiatry practices.
